Cohen Bray House

Launch Tour

The Cohen Bray House is one of the Bay Area's most remarkable historic time capsules — a 17-room Stick-Eastlake Victorian built in 1884 as a wedding gift for Emma Bray and Alfred H. Cohen in Oakland's Fruitvale District. What makes it truly extraordinary is that it has never been altered or emptied. The original furniture, wallpaper, carpets, and family collections remain exactly as they were placed over 140 years ago. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated an Oakland Historic Landmark, it is now stewarded by the Victorian Preservation Center of Oakland.

This high-resolution 360 virtual tour was captured throughout the house's interior rooms, preserving the remarkable detail of the original Aesthetic-style furnishings and Victorian decor. Professional-grade 360 equipment was used to ensure accurate color and sharpness in the often dim, richly layered interior spaces. The tour gives researchers, historians, and curious visitors the ability to explore this rare unaltered home in detail from anywhere in the world.
